Papermaking Class Student 2020

All the information was presented in a relaxed, informal way with time for questions. Kelley kept the class moving forward yet allowed us to learn each step and then experiment with our new knowledge.

Making Eco Prints On a Summer Day

The process of eco printing is very much like pressing leaves, but we cook the "book" the leaves are pressed in! Heat, pressure, and water all combined will pull the natural dyes from the leaves and transfer them onto the paper.

Earth Dragon Wing Tapestry

I can get really excited about an interesting piece of rusty metal or some gnarly tree bark! My fingers itch to imitate the colors or textures in metal, fiber, or polymer clay. Most often, though, the thing that really calls the Muse to me is a really cool stick. This was one of those sticks.

Picasso Stone

Picasso stone is one of my new favorite things. Every bead or pendant or cabochon I see made with this stone looks like a little piece of art, and I can’t resist it! The earthy combination of greens and reds and oranges look like desert Southwest landscapes in miniatures you can hold in your hand.
